Networking for Introverts....

Why does it have to be so hard?

Thursday, June 5, 2008

6:30 pm  light refreshments and networking

7:00 pm  program

Dowling Hall, Room 745 A/B

Do you avoid networking events so you won’t have to talk to strangers?  Would you prefer to job search on the Internet, instead of meeting new business contacts?  This workshop may be just what you need.

Networking is essential in a job search, to change careers, or to develop better professional relationships. If you don’t see yourself as outgoing, networking can be difficult. This workshop will focus on:

  • networking from an introvert’s perspective

  • strengths and perceived weaknesses of introverts

  • strategies people have found helpful

  • ways to engage more energetically in the process

This interactive and practical program will offer approaches to networking especially useful for introverts.  The workshop will be led by Dan Shepard, career consultant with Keystone Associates specializing in Adult Career Development.

Program is free; parking in Dowling Hall $5 (purchase token in garage)
