Registration
All students who wish to participate in the Capital Consortium must register through the CAPCON ‘08 web site. When completing the student profile please complete all fields including College/School.
All seniors will be sent emails shortly containing their usernames and passwords for the CAPCON ’08 web site.

Submitting Resumes
You should first review the Employer Job Descriptions on the CAPCON ‘08 web site and decide whether or not to submit a resume for a particular interview schedule. Employer Job Descriptions, in most cases, provide details about the employer, the position(s) they are recruiting for, and position qualifications. Employers will join the Consortium until the resume submission deadline, so check the Web site on a regular basis for new additions. Only apply for interviews through the Capital Consortium if you can reasonably guarantee that you will be able to interview with these employers in Washington D.C. on Friday, February 8, 2008.

Application materials need to be uploaded in the Resumes and Documents section of the web site in order for you to submit your applications to employers. Then, if you believe you are qualified, submit all required application materials through the web site by Friday, January 4, 2008. Application submissions must include all materials requested by the employer. Incomplete applications will not be submitted by the system.

Preparing an Unofficial Transcript

If the application requirements require the submission of a college transcript, you will need to create an unofficial transcript. Copy and paste your transcript information from SIS Online into a Word document. Upload your transcript document into the CAPCON ‘08 web site.

Note: You absolutely MUST NOT alter your grades. Many employers will ask you for an official transcript later. Misrepresentation of any information is cause for revocation of recruiting privileges and disciplinary action by the Dean of Students. Additionally, companies have called Career Services to let us know that offers were rescinded because of false documentation.

Employer-Selected Interview
Students who were selected for interviews will be notified by e-mail by Monday, January 14, 2008. If you do not receive an e-mail then you were not selected for an interview or as an alternate for an interview.

Scheduling Interview Times
Once you receive an e-mail notification of the interview(s) for which you have been selected, you may sign up for interviews through the CAPCON ‘08 web site. Students selected for interviews have until Wednesday, January 23, 2008 to sign up for interviews online. After Wednesday, January 23, 2008, unfilled interview times will be given to students who were selected as alternates. Alternates have until Wednesday, January 30 30, 2008 to sign up for interviews online.  Make certain you remember to record the interview date and time in your planner for future reference!

Policies
If you are applying for a position, it is assumed you will accept an interview offer and be able to travel to Washington D.C. to interview. Do not apply for any positions where this is not the case. The Tufts Career Services No-Show Policy is in effect for the Capital Consortium.
