We hope you’ll check this weekly newsletter to learn about the wide range of events and opportunities planned for seniors. We are here to help you determine what you want to do after graduation and to help you attain that goal. Be sure to register on Tufts Career Connect, our new online database, to receive targeted news pertaining to YOUR interests. (See Below)

We are excited to announce the launch of our new career services recruiting site - Tufts Career Connect - http://careers.tufts.edu/tuftscareerconnect.

This new site will help you with your career planning by enabling you to:


Begin using Tufts Career Connect today! Enter the site as a student, click on the “Forgot your password?” link, enter your SIS ID as your username, and your password will be emailed to your tufts.edu address immediately. Log in today and begin by updating your profile with information on your major, interests (clubs, sports, activities), career plans, etc.

A panel of Tufts alumni, in a variety of consulting roles, will discuss their careers and offer advice on breaking into this competitive field. Hear how Tufts graduates have established careers at leading firms including Monitor Group, and Cambridge Associates.

APPLYING TO GRADUATE SCHOOL: ASSESSING & CHOOSING PROGRAMS

Hear an insider’s perspective on the application process offered by a former graduate school dean with 30+ years of experience in higher education. Determine your objectives, develop a timeline, and access resources, from program research to funding.

GRADUATE SCHOOL IN INTERNATIONAL AFFAIRS
Tuesday, September 25
Thinking of graduate school in International Affairs? Admissions representatives from five distinguished schools in International Affairs will be on campus to discuss requirements and application deadlines. Schools attending: The Fletcher School, Tufts University; School of Public and International Affairs, Columbia University; School of Advanced International Studies, Johns Hopkins University; Master of Science in Foreign Service Program, Georgetown University; Woodrow Wilson School, Princeton University.

TUFTS ON WALL STREET- Registration now open
Friday, September 28
Join Career Services for a trip to NYC to learn about careers in finance. Attend two alumni panel discussions and conclude the day with a networking reception with Wall Street alumni hosted by JP Morgan. Buses will leave in early morning and return at night. Advanced registration is required and space is limited. Register at the front desk of Career Services, 740 Dowling Hall. Meet with over 90 employers from the non-profit, for-profit, and government sectors to learn about job and internship opportunities. Open to all students – First Year through Graduate students. Senior Finance Resume Book
Books will be sent to alumni and employers working in the financial field who are interested in candidates for full-time analyst positions. Email your resume to tuftscareerconnect@ase.tufts.edu by Friday, September 14, 2007. Once your resume has been reviewed by Career Services, you will receive an email from tuftscareerconnect@ase.tufts.edu with instructions regarding NEXT STEPS.
