Members of the Network – alumni, parents, and friends – have agreed to share information about their careers, educational backgrounds, organizations, and job search techniques. • Networking can be used to gather information about graduate school.
• Networking contacts can include personal contacts, professional contacts, and other people with whom you have some affiliation, such as Tufts alumni.
• Prepare for your networking encounters - both planned and spontaneous - to increase your chances of success. 
• Be strategic.  Be ready to respond to questions like "How are you?" or "What have you been up to?" in 30 seconds. 
• If someone asks you "Tell me a little about yourself," be prepared with a 2-minute pitch summarizing your education, key strengths/accomplishments (how they relate to an employer), and your career goals.
