AAF: The American Advertising Federation's site includes a College Connection section with advertising competitions, awards, and internship opportunities. NOTE: You can access the AAF Internship Directory with 1,500 listings in advertising and marketing. Each listing includes type of work, duration, compensation, and internship contact. 

Advertising Educational FoundationThe AEF site includes a panel of experts in the field answering questions on topics such as entry-level positions, job searches, experience, and salaries.

AdAge.com, the website of Advertising Age, a premier magazine of marketing, media, and advertising, provides marketing, advertising, and media news. 

PRSA: This is the official website for the Public Relations Society of America.  It provides listings of upcoming events, including seminars that discuss skills, leadership, and management. The site is an excellent site for an introduction to the field, and it allows individuals to search by location, company, or industry.

O'Dwyers' Public Relations Daily presents daily news and commentaries on Public Relations. It offers a database of resources that include a directory of PR related firms, blogs with career advice, how-to articles, written commentary of working professionals, as well as upcoming event listings.

Careers in Marketing: This site is part of a larger one called Careers in Business. The marketing section covers advertising and PR, market research, nonprofit marketing, product management, and retailing.

Media Bistro will give you a round-up of news on the media business, give access to job listings (registration is free and it includes some entry level listings) and solid editorial content on topics from pitching stories to interviewing.

Holmes Report provides insight into public relations field. Its services include advertising consulting, customized research, and a weekly newsletter.

Adweek Stay up-to-date on the advertising world via inside stories on creativity, client/agency relationships, and global advertising strategies. It also includes events, industry reports, career advice, and job listings.

American Association of Advertising Agencies is the Website of AAAA, a national trade association representing the advertising agency business in the United States. It offers a bi-monthly industry newsletter and event listings.

Council of Public Relations Firms: Who does PR for the PR industry? The Council of Public Relations Firms promotes the value of public relations as a strategic business tool. The website features a special career section for students.

PRWeek has news, analysis, job listings for the public relations world. It offers a global outlook with news, jobs, message boards, and a great line-p of articles.

The Ad Club is the trade organization for the New England Communications industry.  It offers diverse internships and scholarships for college students interested in pursuing a career in marketing, advertising, media or communications.
