North East Human Resources Association is the most comprehensive resource for HR jobs, professional development, and networking at the regional level. NEHRA offers programs, industry information, and job listings that are available to both members and non-members. Calendar of local events in HR, online career center, and the special student section are especially helpful.  Highly recommended.

International Association for Human Resource Information Management is a link to the world of HR information management, systems issues, trends, and technology.

WorldatWork is a leading source on compensation, benefits, and total rewards information.  You can search for jobs, certification opportunities, and daily news.  It was formerly known as the American Compensation Association.

American Society for Training & Development is the best HR training resource at the national level. 

 

BusinessandLaw.com Human Resources: It is a business and legal guide as well as a search engine for information, research, other web sites, and news.

 

Human Resource Planning Society combines leading thinkers and practitioners from business, industry, consulting and academia.  It is a nonprofit organization with an interesting mix.

 

American Management Association addresses a wide range of management issues, one of them which is Human Resources.  There is a plethora of opportunities for learning through seminars and conferences.
