Commongood Careers: An ’00 alum, James Weinberg, is the organization's founder and CEO. It pairs job-seekers with nonprofit employers, with the goal of making the best matches between the two. Idealist.org is an online career center for those interested in nonprofit, volunteer, and community organizations. There are hundreds of job, internship, and volunteer listings available, focusing on human rights, the environment, prison reform, women's issues, and more. Interaction American Council for Voluntary Action represents the largest alliance of US based international and humanitarian NGOs. Their bi-weekly newsletter—Monday Developments—gives great background information on international humanitarian efforts. It does a good for job interview prep! Job listings are usually mid-level to senior, but there are also some entry level opportunities. Opportunity NOCs posts job listings for New England's nonprofit employers. NOCs represents "Nonprofit Organization Classifieds." Good Works is a national directory of social change organizations and is the first directory to present alternatives to traditional corporate employment. This directory lists the aims and projects of over 1000 organizations and provides background information on contacts, starting salaries and benefits, types of staff openings, available internships, annual budget and funding sources, and the application process. It also profiles individuals who are building public interest careers.
