Tufts Campus Recruiting Program
Tufts Campus Recruiting Program is the process by which employers recruit
Tufts graduating students for full-time job opportunities. Through the program,
employers collect resumes and visit campus to conduct interviews or hold
information sessions to help you learn about their organizations.
In many ways, Campus Recruiting is no different from any other job or internship
search tool: you submit your resume to be evaluated by the employer, the
employer makes decisions about whom to interview and whom to hire, and employers
often recruit at many universities. But the Campus Recruiting Program is also
unique. It allows you to interact with many employers without leaving campus,
and employers commit significant resources to visit campus for the opportunity
to meet you and your fellow Tufts students. Additionally, Tufts Campus
Recruiting Program is a process requiring particular attention to details.
Advanced preparation, professionalism and organization are critical for success.

Frequently Asked Questions about Tufts Campus Recruiting Program
Q: What is Tufts Career
Connect? Why should I create an account?
A: Tufts Career Connect enables students to easily register, search jobs,
research which companies are participating in campus recruiting, send online
employer inquiries, and manage multiple resumes, cover letters, and other
employment related documents. By creating an account employers can search and
find YOU by posting jobs and proactively searching student resumes. Career
Services also uses Tufts Career Connect to communicate important deadlines,
news, and employer opportunities.
Q: What opportunities does the Tufts Campus Recruiting Program provide?
A: Tufts Campus Recruiting Program provides Tufts graduating seniors the
opportunity to interview with 40+ employers for full-time positions who visit
Career Services during the Fall and Spring semesters.
Q: How Can I tell if the Campus Recruiting Program is right for me?
A: You may preview Campus Recruiting opportunities on Tufts Career Connect
(under "Campus Recruiting & Resume Drops") to make sure that campus recruiting
employers really matches your job search interests. You can then determine if
you find the types of opportunities you're seeking. If you're still not sure,
then meet with a Career Counselor to discuss your job search plans.
Q: Why are there only certain types of companies coming to campus? What about
students who are not interested in those companies?
A: You may find that few or none of the Campus Recruiting employers interest
you. This is normal. Campus Recruiting employers are those that have significant
recruiting budgets, the ability to plan hiring needs months into the future, and
the need to hire several entry-level people each year. Many organizations do not
fall into this category. Students interested in these types of organizations may
need to use other search methods. In fact, no student should rely solely on
Tufts Campus Recruiting Program for finding a job.
Q: What's a Resume Drop?
A: This is a service that allows your resume to be sent to employers even when
they are not visiting campus. Resume Drops are listed in your Tufts Career
Connect Account (under "Campus Recruiting & Resume Drops"). You must drop
resumes individually for these opportunities.
Q: Is there anything I can do if I am really interested in a company but didn't
get an interview? What do I do if I don't get selected for any interviews?
A: Keep in mind that Tufts Campus Recruiting Program is just one way of finding
a job. Furthermore, employers that participate in the Campus Recruiting Program
generally also utilize other means of finding candidates. Most jobs are found by
networking, so checking Tufts Career Network for alumni that work at your target
organizations is a great place to start.
