Summer Guide - Rising Juniors As Juniors, you’re halfway to the workplace, graduate school, or other endeavors after Tufts. What you do in the coming year will help determine your course. The following programs are designed to help you. Career Services has online resume guides and samples to get you started, in addition you may schedule an appointment for a resume critique. For those interested in Finance careers, please submit your resume to the Junior Finance Resume Book. Books will be sent to alumni and employers working in the financial field who are interested in candidates for internship positions. Finance Resume Book deadline is August 1, 2008. Explore careers
through an internship. If you already have an internship lined up for this
summer – congratulations! If not, use this summer to learn how to find an
internship for next summer. Both paid and unpaid internships are available
on a part-time or full-time basis, during fall, spring, and summer.
Start with the Internship section of our website or schedule an
appointment with a career counselor. Learn about funding for non-paid
internships through the Career Services Internship Grants. Deadlines are
early, so it helps to prepare now for summer 2009 -

Internship listings are posted in Tufts Career Connect, our online database of jobs & internships. Campus Recruiting Program Some organizations will interview students on campus for summer internships. Look for emails from Career Services and check Tufts Career Connect often for deadlines and new opportunities. Programs If you are on campus your junior year, we offer workshops, alumni panels and networking events to help you make career decisions. The Tufts Career Fair, Friday, October 3, is a great chance to meet potential internship employers and learn about careers in a range of industries. Check our calendar for up to date information. We offer different types of appointments: Quick Question Appointments. A career counselor is available 11am - 12pm and 2-4 pm, most weekdays to answer your quick questions or review a cover letter or resume. These 20-minute appointments are made on the same day by calling 617-627-3299 after 9 a.m. Internship Appointments. To discuss finding an internship or refining your search, you may schedule a 45-minute appointment with a Career Counselor. Counseling Appointments. For more in-depth issues, you may schedule a 45-minute session with a career counselor. These appointments could involve skills and personality assessments; career-decision making; or situations where you feel stuck or overwhelmed!
