Summer Guide - Rising Seniors

Senior year is an exciting time. The choices you make during this year will set a direction and tone for your career. Career Services offers many programs that are geared especially for Seniors.


Resume Books & Critiques

Career Services has online resume guides and samples to get you started, in addition you may schedule an appointment for a resume critique.  Use the summer to get your resume ready for early deadlines.

For those interested in Finance careers, please submit your resume to the Senior Finance Resume Book.  Books will be sent to alumni and employers working in the financial field who are interested in candidates for full-time positions.

Finance Resume Book deadline is August 1, 2008.  Additional details and submission instructions will be in Tufts Career Connect.


Job Listings & Campus Recruiting Program

Job listings are posted in Tufts Career Connect, our online database of jobs & internships.  Update your profile over the summer and check listings often.

The Campus Recruiting Program gives you the opportunity to interview with a variety of organizations for full time jobs. Employers schedule interview days on campus throughout the year to interview seniors for employment after graduation. Employers with especially early deadlines include:  Consulting, Finance, Investment Banking, and Engineering.  Log-in to Tufts Career Connect to see which employers are recruiting on-campus and to learn important resume submission deadlines.

Career Fairs are great opportunities to meet employers and to learn about job openings. Log-in to Tufts Career Connect for an up-to-date list of employers and additional details.


Appointments

Don't know what you want to do after graduation?  Schedule a meeting with a Career Counselor to discuss future plans and options.

To make an appointment with a career services staff member, call 617.627.3299.

Quick Question Appointments. A career counselor is available 11am - 12pm and 2-4 pm, most weekdays to answer your quick questions or review a cover letter or resume. These 20-minute appointments are made on the same day by calling 617-627-3299 after 9 a.m.

Counseling Appointments. For more in-depth issues, you may schedule a 45-minute session with a career counselor. These appointments could involve skills and personality assessments; career-decision making; or situations where you feel stuck or overwhelmed!
