Millions watch their two shows on public television, read our two flagship magazines (Cook’s Illustrated and Cook’s Country), and rely on their books, websites, videos, and podcasts. America’s Test Kitchen is located in a state-of-the-art Boston facility with 15,000 sq. ft. of test kitchen and studio space. More than 50 test cooks exhaustively test recipes until they arrive at the best version. A panel of 60,000 highly engaged volunteer home cooks provides detailed feedback on their recipes so they know they work every time. They also rate cookware and supermarket ingredients to help home cooks select the best-quality products. The America’s Test Kitchen television show launched in 2001, and the company added a second television program, Cook’s Country, in 2008. America’s Test Kitchen Kids launched in 2018 and offers books, subscription boxes, and a website to educate the next generation of home cooks.

  • Copywriter
    You’re a gifted copywriter who is selective about how you invest your time, your talent, and your skills.     Responsibilities

    Write powerful, persuasive copy that communicates the value of our brands
    Collaborate with our marketing division, editorial team, and design group, ensuring a consistent voice, message, and tone across channels
    Drive engagement and conversion for all product lines: member sites, print and digital magazines and cookbooks, and broadcast and streaming content
    Write for multiple touchpoints including email, direct mail, paid search, digital ads, paywalls, join flows, and our online shop
    Infuse SEO best practices into copy and draw on data analysis for targeted messaging

    Skills

    You excel at weaving customer insights, compelling storytelling, and unique brand value into effective copy

    Requirements

    Bachelor’s degree and 2-3 years copywriting experience

  • Video Producer
    America’s Test Kitchen is looking for a talented video producer who will be responsible for producing, shooting, and editing food and equipment videos with a focus on marketing and member content.
    The ideal candidate has a passion for entertainment and food, hands-on production experience with cameras and lights, keen organizational and project management skills, a knack for creative problem solving, and the ability to adapt and collaborate in a fast-paced creative team environment.
    RESPONSIBILITIES
    • Produce, shoot and edit recipe and kitchen equipment videos
    • Operate camera and direct talent on set
    • Work with Post-Supervisor on media management
    • Edit videos, working with social, design and other relevant departments
    • Assist video team members as needed
    • Keep up-to-date with current food and video production trends
    SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
    • 1-2 years of experience shooting and editing digital video content
    • Experience with Sony Camera Systems
    • Basic color correction & GFX
    • Proficient with Premiere, other Adobe Creative Cloud experience a plus

  • Video Producer, OTT
    America’s Test Kitchen is looking for a video producer with a focus on post-production and editing to help create a slate of original long-form programming. This producer will work closely with the Senior Producer to execute our OTT strategy.
    The ideal candidate has a passion for entertainment and food, proficiency with NLE systems including Premiere, keen organizational and project management skills, a knack for creative problem solving, and the ability to adapt and collaborate in a fast-paced creative team environment.
    RESPONSIBILITIES
    • Edit long-form videos under guidance of Sr. Producer
    • Manage post-production workflow
    • Color correction and GFX
    • Work with senior producers and other stakeholders to execute strategy
    • Work with Post-Supervisor on media management
    • Edit videos, working with social, design and other relevant departments
    • Proficiency with NLE systems required (Premiere, AE, etc.), including editing, graphics & color correction
    • Keep up-to-date with current OTT and video production trends
    SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
    • 2+ years of experience editing digital video content
    • Production experience (e.g. camera operating) a plus

  • Associate Email Marketing Manager
    We’re looking for an Associate Email Marketing Manager with 2-3 years experience. This opportunity is ideal for someone with marketing experience who is motivated to apply their skills to a growing business in the home cooking space. In this hands-on role, you will be responsible for the development, and execution of both newsletter and promotional campaigns and contribute to the overall marketing plans for ATK.
    Our email and lifecycle strategies support all business objectives including website memberships, magazine subscriptions, cookbooks, ATK Kids, TV shows, podcasts and a few more ideas in the hopper. The ideal candidate will have experience supporting successful marketing automation programs, creatively implementing content marketing strategy, attention to detail and the ability to work collaboratively across teams.
    You will work closely with other members of the Marketing, Editorial & Product teams, including eCommerce and design to strategize, plan, execute and analyze various email marketing initiatives and campaigns.
    Responsibilities include: 
    • Drive and manage a calendar for specific email products as assigned. This will include:
    • Creating advertising and content strategies for hitting goals for specific product lines
    • Copy development and/or feedback for all ATK brands, including input where needed from editorial stakeholders
    • Collaboration with the design, social media, digital marketing, and editorial teams to bring newsletters into cross-channel campaigns
    • Compiling reporting/analyze data on email newsletter performance
    • Working in coordination with product managers to strategize on offers, timing, and segmentation.
    • Help conceive and implement tests aimed at improving email performance metrics (CTR, opens, etc.), sales and retention
    • Contribute to strategy on list segmentation for better targeting, and analyze performance of segments
    • Actively participate in cross-functional project teams to support the implementation of new online, eCommerce, and social initiatives including:
    • Design and web development
    • Communication with Customer Service regarding initiatives that could result in customer feedback
    • Cross-functional use of social video assets to support email promotions
    You’ll be a great fit if you have:
    • 2-3 years’ experience in email marketing and automation
    • Segmentation and audience strategy experience
    • Knowledge of metrics such as inbox placement, deliverability and sender reputation
    • Experience with an advanced ESP set-up, preferably Salesforce Marketing Cloud
    • Strong analytical skills, a data-driven mindset and an interest in facing analytical challenges by diving deep into large datasets with Tableau and Excel
    • Experience and/or strong interest in applying agile methodologies and practices
    • Excellent organizational ability and ability to manage multiple projects on deadlines
    • Excellent communication skills and experience collaborating across functions and disciplines
    • Experience with and desire to create compelling and effective marketing campaigns
