Program Highlight: MAIP

Meet MAIP! The Multicultural Advertising Intern Program

The Multicultural Advertising Intern Program (MAIP) is an internship program established in 1973 to provide diverse candidates with a paid internship in the advertising industry. The MAIP Fellowship comprises 22 weeks of invaluable professional development experience. Students begin their experience with 12 weeks of Virtual Spring Training led by the industry’s best and brightest. After completing their training, MAIP fellows are flown to their host agency’s location for a nine-week, full-time, paid internship experience fully immersing them into the industry. In larger regions, fellows also have the opportunity to attend MAIP Labs–professional development seminars hosted by volunteer agencies nearby.

Throughout the experience, fellows are guided by a MAIP coach–a current professional in the industry who can mentor, advise, and support them throughout the summer. The fellowship culminates in a week-long celebration in New York City entitled, The Face of Talent. The week-long series of events is designed to celebrate MAIP fellows and to connect them to agencies who are actively seeking talent for full-time opportunities.
