Hot Jobs and Cool Internships for Engineers, Tech and Physical Sciences

Years ago, the Career Center sent out a weekly email to Seniors called Hot Jobs and to Sophomores and Juniors an email called Cool Internships. We sent out one to A&S students and a different one to Engineering students. What they were was our staff looking at all the new job openings in our posting system, picking out 5-6 examples of the broad variety of those postings and reminding students that they were in the system.  I decided to do that this weekend.  There are so many jobs and internships in the Handshake system, and sometimes I worry that students are just not seeing them.

Before the list I want to take this time to remind you of two things:

  1. The Application Date in Handshake does not mean much in most cases. That is the date by which the posting will come off the system, not when the organization will be looking at candidates.  This means you should apply as close to the Posted Date as you can (when your materials are ready).
  2. The list below is just some postings I found interesting. I tried to find ones that were looking for a variety of students and postings that might not get everyone’s attention on their own. I selected geographically diverse entries as well. There are lots and lots and lots of jobs and internships in Handshake right now and we get more daily.
