Internship Spotlight: Greater Grove Hall Main Streets

Current Tufts student Chloe Holder shared the following about being a Summer Intern at Greater Grove Hall Main Streets

What did you do as an intern at this organization?
I researched urban agriculture options that could be implemented in Grove Hall, as well as their pros and cons and varying case studies, and put my research into a powerpoint presentation for my supervisor to present to urban planners, and a guidebook for the community and urban planners to read.

How did you find this internship?
Through the Environmental Studies Department Newsletter

What did you enjoy most about your internship?
I liked the flexibility of the hours and the ability to work on my own schedule.

What did you find challenging?
I sometimes felt like I didn’t have enough direction or know exactly what I was supposed to be working on or when it should be completed.

What advice would you offer to someone who wants to make the most of an internship like yours?
I recommend reflecting over which aspects you enjoy and which aspects were more challenging or frustrating so you can keep them in mind going forward with your career search.
