Grad Students Opportunities and Degree Programs

As the economy continues to evolve and become increasingly competitive, it is essential for organizations to attract top talent that can drive their success. At Tufts University, we take pride in our graduate programs that prepare students to excel in their respective fields and make meaningful contributions to the workforce.

We have three schools across two campuses serving more than 5,000 graduate students. These students are immersed in leading edge, interdisciplinary programs designed for inspired learning and market-ready skills. Many have received rigorous applied training in critical thinking, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration through class projects, capstones, field placements, teaching assignments, service projects, and leadership roles. They are led by brilliant and experienced faculty that continue to develop interesting and applicable programs and courses where students can apply knowledge using best-in-class tools, applications, and resources.

Our students who focus on research benefit from Tufts’ R1 designation and thus have consistent exposure to world class faculty, alumni, equipment, trainings, and experiential opportunities. Student can feature their research and presentation skills at events like the 3-Minute Dissertation competition and the Graduate Student Research Symposium.  Those interested in ‘what’s next’ have access to an ever developing extensive and inclusive innovation community and ecosystem predominantly championed by the Gordon Institute and the Derby Center for Innovation. There are also new programs built to address emergent needs from the local to the global level including masters, doctoral, and certificate level choices in options like Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Leadership, Sustainability, Offshore Wind Science Engineering, Human-Robot Interaction, and Cybersecurity and Public Policy.

Tufts students are smart, curious, invested, and prepared. They are also inclusive, practiced, civic-minded, and very likely want to make a consequential impact in the world. Tufts University graduate programs meet its aspirational students where they are and they intentionally, and successfully, cultivate fantastic professionals for the modern world of work.
