Finding nonprofit organizations that does work you care about is easier than you think. Not only can you search for opportunities, but you can also search for, and identify, organizations that are doing work you’re interested. This is a great way to learn about the landscape of any particular issue, and do research into what possible organizations you might want to work at in the future.

Here’s how:

  1. Go to
  2. Search for Organizations, and select the location in which you’d like to search
  3. Narrow down your search using a keyword OR Issue Area
  4. Browse the many nonprofits that align with your search. You can select any of the organizations to view their profile, and even visit their website

If you discover an organization that excites you, look for volunteer opportunities, internships, or jobs on their website.
