The Fund for the Public Interest, a national non-profit organization that runs campaigns with some of the nation’s most prominent environmental and social change organizations, such as Environment America and PIRG (the Public Interest Research Group). This summer, they are building support for the 100% Clean Act, which calls for Massachusetts to be powered with clean energy like solar and wind power by 2035. Summer is by far their most impactful season, when they are projected to fundraise over half a million dollars in the Boston office.
The Fund for the Public Interest is hiring students from all fields of study for both paid, full-time internships on their summer campaigns, as well as long term career opportunities for graduating seniors. Students who work over the summer will gain valuable skills in campaign organization and planning, communication, leadership, and financial and people management as they gain exposure to the operations of grassroots campaign. Students will also have the opportunity to participate in a variety of campaign activities including: running media events, coalition building, canvassing, writing editorials, and lobbying elected officials.
