Tufts University Employer Newsletter — June 2024

Dear Employer Partners,

We hope you’re having a good start to the summer season! Here in the Career Center, we are hard at work developing our programming for the upcoming school year, including our in-person career fair on September 27th. See below for more information and a link to register! Additionally, if your company is interested in hosting any On Campus Interviews (OCIs) this fall, either in-person or virtually, we welcome you to sign up for a date on Handshake starting July 1st.

The Career fair is a great way for your organization to highlight opportunities with our undergraduate and graduate students across the School of Arts & Sciences, School of Engineering, and The School of the Museum of Fine Arts at Tufts.

We would love for organizations to highlight the following:

  • Co-ops for undergrads and graduates in engineering
  • Rotational programs in various industries
  • Internships for the semester and summer
  • Full-time job opportunities across industry sectors
  • Organizations that support hiring international students for internships and full-time roles
  • Opportunities for our neurodiverse and accessibility needs students
  • and much more …

Sincerely,

Employer Relations Team
Supporting the School of Arts & Sciences, the School of Engineering, and The School of Museum of Fine Arts at Tufts

Happy Pride Month

It’s PRIDE month in Boston and throughout June there will be city-wide events to celebrate the LGBTQ community and bring folks together. While the campus is quiet at Tufts for the summer, it is important to highlight the university’s commitment to diversity and supporting our LGBTQ students. The Division of Student Diversity and Inclusion has its own LGBT Center. The center was founded in 1992 as a space for all students, faculty, and staff, and it provides programming, advising, and educational resources. Hope Freeman is the Senior Director of the LGBT Center on Tufts campus. It’s also worth noting that in 2020 Tufts University was rated #1 in the New England region for LGBTQ-friendly Colleges & Universities (Campus Pride Index). The Career Center offers a variety of resources to support our LGBTQ students and we look forward to helping your company recruit and connect with great talent this upcoming academic year.

We are thrilled to be hosting an in-person Career Fair again following our successful fairs this past year. We will be welcoming up to 200 employers across various industries in the Tufts Gantcher Center. Lunch will be provided.

What to Highlight at the Career Fair:

  • Internships, co-ops, and jobs for our undergraduate and graduate students across the School of Arts & Sciences, School of Engineering, and the School of the Museum of Fine Arts at Tufts.
  • Rotational programs that are available at your organization post-graduation
  • Co-op opportunities that are available to graduate and undergraduate students in the School of Engineering
  • Pipeline programs that are available to our diverse student populations at Tufts
  • Opportunities to hire our international students for both internships as well as full-time roles where H1-B sponsorship is available
  • Opportunities that support our neurodiverse student and accessibility needs population at Tufts
  • and more
