These events are a great opportunity to network, learn more about potential job openings, and connect with employers in your fields of interest!
What are Employer Events?
Employer events are when an employer hosts an in-person or virtual event to showcase a topic such as interviewing, building your brand, or a general session highlighting their specific job opportunities as well as their mission and culture. Students will have the opportunity to interact directly with representatives and gain further insights into the organization, which can contribute to the success of their application.
As Tufts University is a member of the 11-school conference, New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC), we also collaborate closely with other NESCAC colleges to provide a wide range of employer events, and career development and networking opportunities for students across all NESCAC colleges.
Why are these events helpful?
These events are helpful to guide you along your career development journey during your time at Tufts. By attending, you have the opportunity to engage with employers, understand the path you will choose, and the opportunities available to you. This exposure can help clarify your career goals and aspirations, enabling you to make informed decisions about professional experiences. Additionally, attending an employer event can strengthen your application to the organization hosting the event.

Follow the Tufts Career Center Instagram account @tuftscareercenter! We post our flyers at the beginning of each month on Instagram.
Where do I find more details about the events?
You can find further details about each event on Handshake! Simply visit the Handshake homepage, click on the “Events” section, and select “Career Center – Employer Events.” Here you will discover a list of upcoming events featured on our monthly flyer. Click on the event that interests you and explore in-depth information about the event itself, the participating employer, and more!
How should I register for the event?
If you’re interested in attending a particular event, be sure to register and RSVP on Handshake! Once you complete your registration, you will receive a confirmation email letting you know that you are successfully registered. As the date approaches, you will also receive a reminder notification email about the event.
