MassBioEd’s Life Sciences Apprenticeship Program

Interested in a career in Biotechnology? MassBioEd’s Life Sciences Pre-Apprenticeship Program can help you get started!

The Pre-Apprenticeship Program trains individuals interested in a career in Biotechnology. This opportunity will provide participants with FREE education and training focused on topics relevant to the life sciences. During the program, pre-apprentices will get an overview of the biotech industry, learn hands-on lab skills for biotech jobs, and receive job readiness support.

The program is 10 weeks long, with the next session starting in February 2025. Classes are part-time (typically mornings), both online and in-person. Classes cover biotech science, soft skills, job search strategies, computer skills, and hands-on lab training. They also include the opportunity to take a math or English Language class, if needed.

Submit your application as soon as possible as the next cohort begins at the end of February!

Requirements

  • Able to commute to Burlington, MA, for the lab classes
  • Participants must be 18+
  • Legally authorized to work in the U.S. on a full-time basis
