Welcome Back to Tufts from the StAAR Center & Tufts Career Center

The StAAR Center and the Tufts Career Center have been busy this summer planning ways for increased collaboration in support of students with disabilities.  Here is what we have planned for Fall 2025:

  • September 10th: StAAR is hosting Access Orientation for first year students with accommodations, with a guest speaker from the Career Center.  Sign up via email, staarcenter@tufts.edu
  • September 11thDisclosure & Prepare for the Career Fair Session with Lime Connect for a virtual info session and tips to prepare for the career fair and to discuss disclosure to employers throughout the recruitment process.   Learn more about Lime Connect events and resources for StAAR students!    Register for this event in Handshake.
  • September 12th: Workforce Recruitment Program Info Session.  Join the Tufts WRP Coordinators for an information session to learn more about this career development program sponsored by the Department of Labor for students with disabilities to find internships and jobs across a number of federal agencies across the United States.   Register for this event on Handshake
  • September 19th:   Join the Career Center for an Open House for the Class of 2026 to start the year ahead by learning about resources, advising, and opportunities to prepare for your job search during the senior year.    There will be food and prizes to be won! Register on Handshake to attend this event!
  • September 26th: Fall 2026 Career Fair in Gantcher from 11:30 am – 3:30 pm.  Visit the pop-up sensory space at the Career Fair on Find your zen, get tips on disclosure in the workspace, and take a break with us.  Also, have your LinkedIn photo taken as well as connect with employers across all industry sectors.  Note:   Students must register in advance to attend and bags are not permitted for entry into Gantcher for this event.  Register for the career fair on Handshake.
