Welcome New Employer Relations Team Members!

Please help us welcome two new team members to the Tufts Career Center team …

Mitch Moise, Assistant Director, Employer Relations

Mitch Moise joined Tufts on October 6th after serving as the Employer Outreach & Engagement Specialist in the MIT Career Advising & Professional Development office where he coordinated large-scale recruiting events, supported career fairs, and built strong connections between employers and students.

He is passionate about helping employers strengthen their recruitment strategies, while also empowering students to feel confident and prepared as they pursue opportunities.  He calls Medford, MA home and he earned his B.A. in Communication and Management from Emmanuel College, as well as an M.Ed. in Higher Education Administration from UMass Lowell.

Sean Gorman, Recruiting Coordinator, Employer Relations

Sean Gorman joined Tufts on Sept. 15th after serving as an Accounting, Finance, and Corporate Functions Recruiter at Aston Carter.  He calls Chicago home and relocated to Boston where he graduated with a B.S. in Marketing from the Carroll School of Management at Boston College. While at BC, he worked in Admissions as a tour guide, and it was in this role that he became passionate about working with students within a higher education setting–helping advance both the goals of the university and the student body it is built to serve.

In recognition of National Disability Employment Awareness Month, we’re highlighting some helpful resources for recruitment, retention, and support of candidates and employees with disabilities.

Tufts partners closely with our StAAR Center to offer programs and workshops that support neurodiverse students and students with accessibility needs.

Jumbos4Jumbos is an opportunity for Tufts alumni from the School of Arts & Sciences, School of Engineering, and the School of Museum of Fine Arts at Tufts to offer virtual projects and micro-internships for current students. The goal is to provide students with exposure to an industry or opportunity to build new skills such as data analysis, marketing, etc. The program is managed via The Herd, our student-alumni networking & mentoring platform. The site makes the process seamless, and alumni are able to self-manage and monitor the process from beginning to end.

We hope that alumni will consider offering virtual projects during the upcoming winter break between December 22, 2025 through January 14, 2026. Employers with traditional full-time positions and summer internships (remote or in-person) can still post those positions on our Handshake site for students and alumni to access and submit applications.

You will find information about the program along with answers to FAQs and full guide on our Employer Relations website.
