Roland Berger: Cause for a Cause

What is Case for a Cause?

Roland Berger is a leading global strategy consulting firm with offices in over 34 countries. In the U.S. we are in Boston, Chicago, Detroit, Philadelphia, and Houston. We are hosting our 10th annual charity consulting case competition to benefit Make-A-Wish® Massachusetts and Rhode Island. The competition provides undergraduate students the opportunity to solve a written case based on a real-life consulting challenge.

The goal of the Case for a Cause charity case competition is to raise funds to sponsor a child’s wish and provide career guidance and opportunity to students in schools in the local community. A registration fee of $100 per team (2-4 students) will help us meet our full fundraising goal for this year. In previous years, college career centers have funded participating teams, so make sure to check with your career centers and feel free to reach out to us if you need additional supporting documentation. Of course, 100% of all proceeds from the competition will be donated to Make-A-Wish foundation and you will be recognized as a donor entity that made it possible to sponsor a child’s wish.

Why should you participate?

The competition has multiple benefits for undergraduate students who wish to participate. Students get the opportunity to:

Receive a one-on-one recruiting workshop, including a resume review and mock interview with RB consultants (winners)

Simulate the work of a strategy consultant

Receive three short consulting skills guides and detailed feedback on their case analysis

Participate in career mentorship discussions and private networking events (finalists)
