Genetic Counseling Virtual Career Day @ Brigham and Women’s Hospital – Feb 7, 2026

Genetic counselors are health care providers who often work in hospitals and meet with patients to assess any relevant genetic or biological risk associated with various inherited disorders and discuss genetic testing options with patients.  To become a genetic counselor, an individual must complete specific science pre-requisite undergraduate courses and obtain a master’s degree in genetic counseling from an accredited two-year graduate program.

The field of genomics is rapidly growing and will play a pivotal role in the future of health care and overall well-being. With such a rapid advancement in the field of genetics, genetic counselors are in increasingly high demand. We hope to promote awareness of the genetic counseling profession to students who are interested in healthcare career options.

Brigham and Women’s Hospital will be hosting their annual Genetic Counseling Virtual Career Day on February 7, 2026 at 9:30am EST
