Welcome to “3 Questions with …”, a recurring feature on the Career Center blog. We’re asking alumni of all graduation years and career interests to share a bit of their experiences and advice.
Holley Brandchaft-White, MBA, LCSW

1. In just a few sentences, please tell us about your current job/graduate program/vocational endeavor.
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker based out of Chicago, and have spent the past 10 years working in Emergency and Trauma Departments in and around the city. I just launched (what we believe to be) the first urgent care for mental health, serving ages 10-30! Very exciting stuff. I am Co-founder and Chief Clinical Officer of SHFT Behavioral Health.
2. How did your time at Tufts influence your career journey?
Oh great question. I majored in International Relations, Economics and Spanish. My original intention to explore the world of international development and microfinance, however a post grad internship opportunity opened my eyes to the incredible need for domestic development. Fast forward so many years later and my time (and academic experience) at Tufts prepared me to be a global thinker, and to pursue an MBA in preparation for starting this venture.
3. What advice would you offer to a student who wants to pursue a career path like yours?
Remain open and curious to all opportunities. Have an idea of where your interests lie, but explore all avenues. All experience is good experience. Remember you can always pivot and change your mind, it’s never too late to reinvent yourself!
