Testimonial:
I had the opportunity to spend last summer as a data analyst intern at Wright-Locke Farm, where I collected, analyzed, and presented enrollment data for both youth and adult programming. Through this work, I identified key spatial and numerical enrollment trends that can help the farm more effectively tailor its communication efforts and continue fostering an accessible and inclusive green space. I deeply enjoyed my time as an intern at Wright-Locke Farm. I was given a high level of flexibility and independence throughout my project, while also receiving thoughtful guidance from my mentors. The work environment was exceptional—the staff was incredibly welcoming and caring, and spending time on the farm was truly a highlight. This experience was deeply fulfilling, and I left the summer feeling proud of the work I accomplished and grateful to have met such a wonderful team.

More Information:
College students can gain hands-on, real-world experience through a variety of internships at our community farm. Opportunities include sustainable agriculture, where interns work in the fields with an experienced farmer, and education, where they help lead our outdoor, nature-based programs for children. Other areas to gain valuable experience include community outreach, retail, or development. These roles offer experience in communications, customer service, and operations while contributing to the farm’s mission. Across all tracks, interns become part of a team dedicated to connecting people, food, and the land. Our historic property is a unique place where the community gathers, and everyone finds belonging.
