The Massachusetts Executive Office of Energy and Environmental Affairs is actively recruiting for their year-round internship program, which has sessions in the summer, fall and winter. This program provides students with experiential learning in their field of academic study, the opportunity to experience workplace culture, and emphasizes the value of public service.
The next session of this internship program is during Summer 2026, and will kick-off in early June. The positions offered for this session will be a combination of both paid and unpaid roles. To apply for a Summer internship, students should visit the Mass Careers website at: MassCareers Job Opportunities.
To search, students should select the agency names that they would like to view positions with. If students plan to apply for any Summer 2026 positions, they should check the website every few days, as positions will be posted on a rolling basis, and there is a 14-day application window to apply for each position. Once each position is live on Mass Careers, they will also be posted on Handshake, but applications must be submitted through the Mass Careers website.
