What did you do as an intern at this organization?
I ran an internal product validation study and worked in python to process physiological signals.
How did you find this internship?
I googled ‘small biotech companies boston’ and cold emailed every company on the list.
What did you enjoy most about your internship?
I enjoyed learning about the process of starting a company. I also appreciated the freedom and wide range of responsibilities that come with working at a startup.
What did you find challenging?
I struggled to balance writing my own code and using ChatGPT. I understand that learning to code will enable me to use ChatGPT more efficiently, but it’s hard not to take the easy way out.
What advice would you offer to someone who wants to make the most of an internship like yours?
My advice is that it doesn’t hurt to ask. I got my internship by cold emailing a company I knew nothing about and it turned out to be a fantastic summer experience.
