Part of SMFA at Tufts’ 150th Anniversary Celebration

We are excited to offer an exclusive opportunity for 5–10 graduating SMFA students to travel to New York City to attend the reception for the inaugural SMFA Alumni Exhibition at Pace Gallery, launching our SMFA 150th Anniversary Celebration.
This trip will include:
- Meet & greet with Bird Piccininni, BFA ’16, and other alums at Pen + Brush Gallery
- Attendance at the alumni exhibition reception at Pace Gallery (6-8:30pm)
- Panel discussion at reception featuring:
- Marc Glimcher, A28P, CEO, Pace Galleries
- Kate Gilbert, AG13, Executive Director, Boston Public Art Triennial
- András Szántó, Cultural Strategic Advisor
- Moderator: Jameson Johnson, Executive Director, Boston Art Review
- A chance to network with SMFA alumni, artists, and arts professionals in a supportive environment
- Priority exposure to the NYC art scene—especially valuable if you plan to relocate after graduation!
Travel Support
Students selected will be reimbursed for same‑day, round‑trip bus travel to NYC.
- Up to $150 total
- Receipts required
- Travel must occur on the same day (Thursday, 4/23)
Eligibility
Applicants must:
- Be graduating Spring 2025 from the BFA, CD or MFA program
- Be in good academic standing
- Be able to travel on Thursday, April 23
Preference will be given to students planning to move to NYC after graduation.
