Chris Di Fronzo

Director of Career Services

I’m a Double Jumbo with a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering and an M.S. in Engineering Management, and I began my career in software at The MathWorks holding roles of successive responsibility including Customer Trainer, Sales Engineer, Consultant, and finally Manager of the Engineering Development Group. Later, I became the sales manager of that company and shortly thereafter made a transition into finance. As a financial advisor, I built a practice from the ground up, helping clients achieve their goals. During most of my time in finance, I also led teams of advisors, all while recruiting, hiring, and training people entering the financial industry. Before returning to Tufts in my current role, I was a Managing Director at a private wealth advisory group in Rhode Island.

Outside of my daily Jumbo thing, I like to bake, especially breads. I make a kick butt bagel from scratch, my cranberry walnut celebration bread is a Thanksgiving hit, and my panettone makes December feel like spring; and while waiting for my dough to rise, I am an avid reader of history.

Most interesting/unusual job: After achieving Double Jumbo status, I joined a hospitality company and spent a summer giving tours to folks vacationing in Boston while driving a trolley.
