Assistant Director, Employer Relations

Kate Rettstadt

As the Assistant Director, Employer Relations, at Tufts, I am excited to engage in employer outreach, partnership development, and campus recruitment activities. I also hold coaching appointments and love having conversations about potential employers and employment opportunities with students. Prior to Tufts, I was in the Assistant Director, Employer Relations, role at Simmons University, where I facilitated connections for undergraduates, graduate students, and alum to potential employers. My early career focused on international education; I worked for a study abroad program provider for a few years and began my career in higher ed coaching international students from Latin America through the graduate application process at LASPAU, a Harvard University affiliate. I hold a B.A. in Spanish from Ursinus College and an A.L.M. in Museum Studies from the Harvard University Extension School.

Most interesting/unusual job: My first job ever was as a tour guide at Crystal Cave in my home state of Pennsylvania. After that, I was a certified Professional Ski Instructor throughout high school and college at Bear Creek Ski resort.
