Archer Gray is seeking a part-time production & development intern for the Summer. This position is paid. We are interested in candidates who are available to start end of May/early June for a commitment of 20 hours per week (2-3 days) through August.
Due to the Covid-19 pandemic this position will be FULLY REMOTE. Should things change, we will evaluate whether a return to the office is do-able, but unlikely. We would uphold all safety and social distancing standards should we return during the semester.
This is a great opportunity for someone who is looking to learn the ins and outs of the industry and be part of a busy and successful operation. We are a small team and interns will have the opportunity to witness the development and production process first-hand, while working closely with great producers, film execs, and talent. Archer Gray’s most recent projects include the Netflix film Lost Girls directed by Liz Garbus, Chris Morris’s The Day Shall Come, Marielle Heller’s Can You Ever Forgive Me?, starring Melissa McCarthy; Mike Mills’ 20th Century Women, starring Annette Bening; Marielle Heller’s The Diary of a Teenage Girl, starring Kristen Wiig and Alexander Skarsgard; and Bill Condon’s Mr Holmes, starring Ian McKellen and Laura Linney.
Responsibilities of the internship include, but are not limited to:
-coverage of submitted materials
-research for current projects in development/production/post
-maintenance of company databases
-support for producers, writers, and directors
-attending bi-weekly staff meetings and weekly production meetings
Ideal candidates will have strong interpersonal, organizational, and administrative skills and be self-motivated with the ability to problem solve independently. Attention to detail, efficiency and strong writing skills are ideal. Most importantly we are seeking people who have a passion for film, theater, and television. Prior relevant experience preferred.
