Astrea Media, a non-profit organization dedicated to producing award-winning media projects on human rights and environmental issues , is seeking a motivated and socially conscious intern to assist with research and data collection on our latest film. Our last documentary project was a New York Times “Critic’s Pick”, streamed on Netflix internationally, and broadcast on television in many countries. We are currently in post-production a documentary that follows a dynamic group of students and professors at an ivy league university as they set out to reveal and transform the hidden culture of violence that permeates their campus. The film is set for theatrical and television release.
We are looking for a smart and energetic intern to join our team and assist in primary research and fact checking. Candidates should have a high level of interest in social justice issues and independent film production and be skilled in research, and data collection. By working with a successful independent filmmaker on a high-profile project, this individual will gain invaluable knowledge about the nuts and bolts of indie filmmaking and social justice advocacy.
