We are seeking interns for our virtual reality/smartphone app game which has already garnered an award at SIGGRAPH Asia, was featured at The New York Video Game Critics Awards Night and presented at the United Nations General Assembly Climate Summit. Interns will assist in the app design and coding in Unreal Engine and will work closely with the director of the project, Liz Canner and interact with the Co-director Gregory Bennet, Director of Auckland University of Technology Digital Media and Animation Department. Preferred Qualifications: · Experience with programming in Unreal Engine C++, but any flavor of C would be fine. We are looking for smart, responsible, creative and energetic interns to join our team. Candidates should have a high level of interest in social justice and environmental issues, the arts and non profit work. By working with a successful independent artist on a high-profile project, they will gain invaluable knowledge about the nuts and bolts of bringing multiple projects to life. The internship is unpaid. The position is available beginning in May, but we are flexible. The internship will be conducted remotely and online via Zoom for a minimum of 10 hours per week.

Learning Objectives/Skills: Learn behind the scenes how to launch a website and work with programmers, How to curate websites and be a responsible cultural thinker, Help with launching a film/fact checking/promoting, How to make social change with art
