global sustainability initiatives, specializing in long-only, globally focused equity strategies.
Boston Common managed over $5.3 billion in assets, including sub-advised assets, as of

Our ESG Research Summer* Intern will support the ESG Research team in evaluating the
corporate practices of global companies (U.S. and foreign securities). Aggregate volumes
of information using Internet-based search tools, proprietary databases, third-party
information vendors, and corporate, NGO, and government reports on a significant number
of portfolio holdings. Analyze data and prepare written summaries and background files to
inform the ESG team’s ongoing assessment of the environmental, social, and governance
performance of our portfolios and potential investments. Providing additional assistance in
profiling portfolio holdings or other tasks may arise depending on the candidate’s skills and
the firm’s needs at any particular time.
*Extension of the internship into the academic year may be considered based on intern
performance and company needs.
• Straightforward and strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent attention to detail with organized work habits.
• Systematic thinker with ability to synthesize large amounts of data
• Research experience, knowledge of ESG investing and undergraduate or graduate
work in related disciplines are highly desirable.
• Familiarity with ISS, MSCI, Bloomberg and other ESG providers are most helpful.
• Intermediate level of Microsoft Excel.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote environment with a
flexible attitude is critical.
Stipend will be paid for the summer.
