The Boston Society for Architecture seeks a Communications Associate to handle day-to-day communications. The position will report to the Assistant Director of Communications and will execute a number of independent tasks as well as work in collaboration with other staff members and leaders within the BSA community. This is an ideal role for someone who is interested in architecture and design and is passionate about creating engaging communications to convey that architecture is for everyone.

Regular tasks will include: Managing electronic communications; Website updates; Outreach to partner organizations; Database updates; Proofreading for branding and editorial consistency; and Graphic support using Adobe Creative Suite.

The candidate should have a minimum of 1-3 years of experience in a relevant role, demonstrating capabilities in marketing and reporting; writing and copyediting; knowledge of Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Suite; and experience with creating graphics and CMS software such as WordPress and MailChimp. An interest in the mission of the BSA is strongly preferred. The person is should be an all-around team player with an interest in learning how communications can be most successful within a dynamic, communications-driven nonprofit organization.

This is a part-time hourly position paying $15-30/hr, based on experience, for an estimated 15-20 hours a week. Due to COVID-19, all BSA staff members are currently working remotely. The role has the option to work remotely or in office.
