Boston Globe. The Massachusetts Veterans Epidemiological Research and Information Center
(MAVERIC) in VABHS has 1 full-time Program Manager for cohort management opening for
professionals passionate about serving Veterans and about public health and clinical research. You
will enjoy working with the Million Veteran Program’s strong collegial, friendly, and talented team of
program managers, scientific leads and clinical sites.
The successful candidate will have experience as a program manager focused on survey design,
monitoring and evaluation, specimen collection, study documentation, and process improvement to
support research activities. Specifically, success will require: collaborating with program leadership,
data operations team, and coordinating center staff and research teams to assist with cohort
management, which includes developing self-reported surveys, developing participant contact
materials and other cohort engagement tools, assessing the impact of these materials and tools,
presenting findings to leadership, working with colleagues to summarize and report on
programmatic information and data.
The position requires extensive working knowledge of public health and clinical research methods,
understanding of survey development and evaluation methods, experience with research cohort
development, the ability to effectively and proactively communicate with multiple stakeholders, and
excellent written and oral communication skills; a minimum of a Master’s degree (in a health-related
field); and a minimum of 5 years of experience in research activities.
