We also offer paid licensure for social workers.A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A FAMILY RESOURCE COORDINATORAs a Family Resource Coordinator you play an integral role in our Family Services program. You provide recruitment, assessment, training, guidance and support for families interested in adoption.You establish and maintain collaborative relationships with formal and informal community groups in Greater Boston in order to identify prospective adoptive homes, especially families of color. You organize and co-facilitate MAPP (Massachusetts Approach to Partnerships in Parenting) training for prospective family resources; In collaboration with CFCS staff, MARE, DCF and other resources, plans and carries out recruitment efforts, including targeted recruitment for children of color, children with special needs, sibling groups, and older children; You work carefully with families and state agencies to match children with families that are able to care for them and provide vital post placement family support. Because of your dedication, we are able to continue this exceptional program that benefits families in our community by developing and nurturing safe, permanent relationships!QUALIFICATIONS FOR A FAMILY RESOURCE COORDINATORMasters degree in human services, social work, psychology, education, or a related fieldtwo year of experience providing case management or counseling services to children, adolescents, and familiesCandidates must have a current and valid licensure, or be license eligible, as a Licensed Social Work Associate, Licensed Social Worker, Licensed Certified Social Worker, or Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker by the MA Board of registration in Social Work or a Licensed Mental Health Counselor or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist by the MA Board of Registration of Allied Mental Health and Human Service Professionals. Newly hired, license eligible staff must obtain licensure from the respective board within six (6) months of hire;Ability to pass a background checkValid driver’s license and properly insured vehicleWillingness to transport clientsDo you have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal?
