As an Energy Development Intern (Proposal Specialist) within our small and growing team, you will be responsible for conceptualizing and conveying innovative energy infrastructure upgrades (e.g., LED lighting, solar photovoltaics, data center power and cooling, etc.) in written proposals to potential clients. Success in this position requires a dynamic individual with strong writing abilities and a passion for sustainability. Potential responsibilities may include but are not limited to:

  • Drafting written responses to competitive Request for Proposal (RFP) solicitations, including descriptions of company qualifications, engineering/construction best practices, and site-specific upgrade recommendations
  • Tracking proposal deadlines and delegating specific response tasks (e.g., engineering analyses) to support staff as appropriate
  • Communicating with third-party partners and reviewing/incorporating their submissions
  • Other miscellaneous tasks required to advance proposal initiatives to completion

Preferred qualifications include but are not limited to:

  • Demonstrated passion for energy efficiency, renewable energy, and/or sustainability
  • Demonstrated writing skills (including ability to convey technical/engineering concepts to non-technical audiences)
  • Demonstrated ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Bachelor’s degree and US work authorization required; undergraduate GPA > 3.5

Start/end dates negotiable. Minimum commitment 8 weeks.
