Position Summary and Primary Responsibilities
The AmeriCorps VISTA Development Associate will support the work of the Director of System Implementation Strategies and the leadership team to build and implement a multi-faceted strategic anti-hunger and anti-poverty development framework to help advance the organization’s mission and integrate equity in all aspects of donor engagement and communications. Member activities will focus on generating individual donations, in collaboration with teams across the organization, as well as effectively and efficiently engage individual and prospective donors, and communicate our research findings informing solutions to alleviating economic hardship and building healthy futures.
- Support all aspects of electronic and print communications with donors, Advisory Board members, policy/advocacy partners.
- Plan and implement a series of in-person and virtual events, culminating in a year-end fundraising event that engages a diverse array of attendees and donors
Program Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- Strong commitment to the organization’s mission
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Grant Writing Experience (Preferred)

The VISTA will work in the pediatric administrative building in Boston, MA and will have a hybrid schedule. This position will report to the VISTA supervisor at Children’s HealthWatch.
