About the Company
At ClaimsHero, we are building a comprehensive platform to make the legal system accessible to all Americans. Every year, there are billions of dollars in class action settlements that never reach the people who deserve them, and there are dozens of mass arbitration and mass tort actions that struggle to find a critical mass of eligible participants to drive true corporate accountability.
We are focused on building a trust-worthy, easy to use, and high impact user experience that will reduce the barriers between Americans and the claims they rightfully deserve.
We are a fast-paced, quickly scaling venture-backed startup. If you’re ready to create tremendous impact, alongside a team dedicated to transforming a highly conservative industry, please apply today!
About the Role
We are an early-stage startup and are rapidly building beyond the founding team. We’ve already established traction with over 100,000+ users, developed a repeatable process, and achieved early profitability. We’re now looking to scale to millions of users.
You will be joining a small, but rapidly growing engineering team and will have the potential for both immediate impact as well as having visibility into every function in the company. Our engineering function is small but mighty. Our CTO was a Pre-IPO SWE at Facebook from 2010 to 2017 and we have a strong core of more experience software engineers with significant experience in early stage startups prior to joining ClaimsHero.
You Will
- Develop software solutions that scale, using modern technologies
- Improve code quality through reviews, testing, and best practices
- Own a large part of the process from problem understanding to shipping the solution
- Work closely with the CTO, Engineering Team, and CPO to develop roadmaps and establish priorities
- Take on significant technical challenges and have a large impact
- Have the ability to shape and improve our engineering culture
You Have
- 0-2 years of full-stack web development experience (including internships and side projects)
- Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or related field
- Built applications with React / NextJS / Vercel / Postgres or similar technologies
- Commitment to technical excellence in your own work and with teammates – we are building for quality and scale, not just a perpetual MVP
- Comfort working independently in an unstructured environment and adapting quickly to changing priorities
- Scrappy and humble attitude with a willingness to dive into any problem and learn whatever technologies or tools necessary to build the best version of the product
- Collaborative approach to work and communication with the ability to work async, coordinate projects, solve blockers, and resolve conflicts effectively within the engineering team and across functions
- Impact and prioritization obsessed – we are a small team and can’t do everything at once. What you choose to focus on (and more importantly *not* focus on) will define our success.
- Located in the Western Hemisphere, ideally located in the United States or Canada
You Will Receive
- Competitive equity and cash compensation
- Comprehensive benefits – medical, dental, and vision
- Flexible work schedules
The minimum and maximum base salary for this role is:
- For Software Engineer (0 to 2 years of relevant experience): $90,000 to $125,000
Title and compensation will be determined by years of relevant experience as defined in the job requirements.
