- Currently obtaining Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering
Job Description
An Engineer Intern is responsible for delivering high quality design deliverables, on time, and under budget as assigned.
- Duties
- Perform necessary engineering design tasks as assigned:
i. Pipe sizing
ii. Valve selection
iii. Safety relief valve calculations
iv. Refrigerant inventory
v. Machine room ventilation
vi. Mass and energy balance
vii. Equipment schedules
viii. Document meeting minutes
- Perform all necessary additional engineering design tasks necessary to deliver a complete and thorough set of drawings and specifications
- Perform site inspections and gather accurate field data
- Develop technical reports and scope of work
- Utilize 3D scanner
- Perform CAD drawing updates as necessary
- Perform 3D model reviews to ensure accuracy and quality
- Develop P&IDs and valve lists
- Review equipment submittals
- Respond to RFIs
- Standardization
- Comply with documented company standards
- Maintain consistency across deliverables
- Participate in the development and maintenance of design deliverables and tools
- Maintain awareness of codes and updates
- Accountability

- Compliance with Clauger, customer and code standards
- Responsibility
- Responsible for delegated technical decisions at project level
- Ensure thorough QC procedure executed on every project
- Return submittals per schedule
- Respond to RFIs in timely fashion
- Issue project deliverables on time
- Coordination
- Work closely with Sr. Engineer
- Deliver necessary data to designers to develop accurate CAD drawings in timely fashion
- Participate in project meetings as required
- Maintain meeting notes, including decision and hold logs
- Coordinate with all trades to eliminate clashes
- Coordinate with project Engineers and Designers for assigned deliverables
