Resettlement Program Volunteer-Opportunities in Miami, Broward, Palm Beach, Tampa, and Jacksonville Sites.
Volunteers will assist case managers in delivering core services to refugee clients to reach their self-sufficiency goals. This might include information benefits for clients, CWS Program, services, and orientations.
Responsibilities:
- Work alongside case managers and receive clients at our office.
- Receive clients at the reception of CWS Sites and guide them with basic information regarding the different CWS programs and services.
- Refer clients to CWS Jacksonville Case Managers.
- Receive mail addressed to the office and case managers.
- Communicate successes and concerns with Case Manager and Volunteer Coordinator as they arise.
Volunteers must:
- Case-note items of importance to the Volunteer Coordinator and log your time.
- Communicate with staff regularly to report client needs and progress.
- Volunteers must pass all background checks.
Qualifications:
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Must complete all required training and onboarding requirements.
- Must comply with all policies and procedures.
- Have an understanding and the ability to learn and work with people of diverse cultural backgrounds.
