Founded in 1999, Dexcom, Inc. provides continuous glucose monitoring technology to help patients and their clinicians better manage diabetes. Summary:
The Software Development Intern will be responsible for software development activities for product or tool projects. This individual will be embedded on the team, contributing like a seasoned team member for one month. Essential duties will be allocated as to those that best fit the individual. The individual, after coming off embedded month work, will be offered a “project” to further their experience and learning here at Dexcom Portland. Areas of exploration will include uploader, client, mobile, web front end, or back end development.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities may include one or more of:
- Design and develop software code.
- Pair program with a team member..
- Developing unit tests.
- Analyzing requirements to product a software architecture design.
Required Qualifications:
- Experience in the Java programming language, or similar programming languages, such as C++/C#; JavaScript, Ember
- Familiarity with Web & Mobile development.
- Software development or test experience in medical device industry is a plus.
Education Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree (B.A. or B.S.) in progress from an accredited college or university, and a junior standing or above.
