Digiday is looking for an experienced reporter to cover the ways in which e-commerce is reshaping the media and marketing industries.
Nearly two years after the pandemic forced millions of consumers to do more shopping online, the world’s largest advertisers, media companies and consumer tech platforms are now obsessing over how to drive more of that behavior, even as society tries to get back to normal.
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of how digital ads are bought and sold, comfort interpreting data, and an eagerness to ferret out both quick-hit stories as well as lengthier, enterprise work.
Experience covering media, tech, retail or commerce are strongly preferred, as is some comfort with public speaking.
Interested candidates should submit a cover letter describing their vision for the beat, a list of references, and several links to past work.
