We’re looking for an intern to support Diversity VC’s mission and work. Specifically, we’re running a project researching underrepresented minorities in fund management and their fundraising efforts and experiences.
This placement will run from December 2021 – April 2022 and will require 15-20 hours per week. It is a paid position.
- Designing and implementing a data collection process, including survey design and software tool selection in collaboration with Diversity VC Data team
- Managing outreach to VC funds across the United States, with a particular focus on reaching funds with General Partners from underrepresented backgrounds (women, people of color, LGBTQ+, disabled)
- Facilitating data collection from participating VC funds, as well as answering any questions from participants on the process and aims of the research
- Coordinating with Diversity VC Data Team and partners (including sponsors) to provide periodic updates on progress and initial findings
The consultant will be expected to work remotely and must have access to their own computer.
This position is ideal for a young professional or student with some experience building data projects who is passionate about venture capital and diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI).
