Thank you for taking the time to apply for a position at Diverso. We appreciate your interest in joining our 2026-27 Team.

We are a student-run 501(c)3 that helps statistically overlooked students break into the entertainment industry. Our past and current partners include the Lin-Manuel Miranda Family Fund, United Talent Agency, and WarnerMedia. Some of our panelists and mentors include Barry Jenkins (Moonlight), Chloe Zhao (Nomadland, Hamnet), and The Daniels (Everything Everywhere All at Once).

Though we are a student-run organization, we operate more like a professional nonprofit than a “student club.” We’re looking for sharp, growth-minded individuals interested in working alongside the next generation of entertainment creatives and professionals. By curating programming throughout the year, team members will receive invaluable experience across development, producing, management, and more.

All opportunities are remote and unpaid, and range from 6-10 hours per week, with potential for a paid internship over the summer. Diverso is perfect for any student looking to break into Hollywood in a hands-on, meaningful way instead of doing years of script coverage and waiting their turn from industry gatekeepers. No prior experience is necessary, but an open mind, collaborative spirit, and love for film are a must.

To apply, you must be an undergraduate student at a university or college. We highly encourage sophomores and juniors to apply for these roles, but exceptions can be made for stellar freshmen. Current seniors are ineligible to apply.

*This is not an internship but rather an opportunity to become a leader within a Non-Profit. Diverso is a unique opportunity to gain real world industry experience.

Below, you’ll find information on what roles within our organization are available. These are meant as guidelines rather than mandates, as we’re always looking for new ideas and fresh energy to be brought into Diverso:

Not sure which one fits? These roles are for you if you’re looking to work in development, producing, writing, or simply learn more about the entertainment industry. Apply for the one that excites you most — we’ll figure out the rest together.

Diverso Roles — 2026-27

These are guidelines rather than mandates. We’re looking for fresh energy and new ideas, so if a role excites you but doesn’t match you point-for-point, apply anyway.

Branding Coordinator

This position is for you if… you think in visuals and can’t scroll past a poorly designed graphic without wanting to fix it. You’ll own the look and voice of Diverso, and:

  • Sit at the intersection of Hollywood and new media, learning how to build and maintain a following
  • Shape how the world sees and understands our organization
  • Produce a monthly newsletter reaching 5k+ inboxes

You’ll thrive here with: graphic design and social media instincts, paired with a sharp sense of entrepreneurship.

Development Coordinator

This position is for you if… you want to connect with industry leaders like Boots Riley, Celine Song, and many more. You’ll sit at the center of our programming for our student network of 250+ universities, and:

  • Curate and moderate panels with entertainment agents, creatives, executives, etc.
  • Coordinate with the Writers Guild Foundation and agencies and management companies to secure talent
  • Develop new relationships and initiatives on Diverso’s slate–it’s yours to shape

You’ll thrive here with: a go-getter attitude and a desire to maximize accessibility and impact

Partnerships Coordinator

This position is for you if… you’re energized by the pitch — by walking into a room full of executives and walking out with a “yes.” You’ll become the bridge between Diverso and its partners, and:

  • Build personal relationships with partners ranging from Blumhouse to UTA
  • Create and lead the projects that grow our partner pool, like Salon Nights, LA & NYC Mixers, and whatever you dream up next
  • Produce impact reports for our alumni network and industry leaders
  • Secure the funding and support that powers our paid operations, from the Summer Fellowship to Annual Team Retreat

You’ll thrive here with: experience in grant writing, pitch development, and public speaking (or the drive to master them).

Fellowship Coordinator

This position is for you if… you want a front-row seat to how great films get made, and a hand in shaping the writers who create them. You’ll help run our summer screenwriting program, and:

  • Manage the Fellow application and selection process
  • Craft and lead a ten-week screenwriting curriculum, featuring artists and executives from across the industry
  • Work hands-on with talented writers throughout the development process, leading pitch and script workshops

You’ll thrive here with—sharp storytelling instincts and a producer’s problem-solving mindset.

Please be thoughtful in your responses as these are all highly competitive roles.

Thank you again, and please e-mail development@dvrso.org with any questions or comments!
