Reviews Requests for Proposals (RFPs) that are submitted by our Distribution Team and/or Strategic Partners (GIS, Horizon,etc; excludes BCBS); assures information is complete and in good order; provides risk assessment; establishes appropriate pricing; generates/creates formal proposals for distribution back to sales. This position has underwriting and risk binding authority (limited to premium levels by Line of Coverage (LOC) and plan designs).
• Will serve as an Underwriter Trainee for a period of 6-18 months
• Demonstrate competency in all aspects of the job of pricing manually rated sized accounts; <100 lives
• Bachelor’s degree
• Proven critical thinking and problem solving skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong teambuilding skills
• Ability to work as an individual contributor
• Excellent relationship building skills
