About This Role:

We are searching for bright, motivated, and industrious interns. This is an excellent opportunity for anyone interested in entrepreneurship or a career in marketing, communications, social media marketing, brand management, or writing. Students interning will work remotely and will invest 10-20 hours per week.

Responsibilities

  • Post research-based comments and respond to comments on Instagram and Facebook to create greater community engagement and brand awareness
  • Conduct community engagement activities on Twitter to inspire interest in and motivate exploration of THE
  • Select and create Instagram pictures
  • Draft and assemble a weekly newsletter for readers with THE accounts
  • Research various media, women’s, and minority organizations, establish memberships, and man membership activities
  • Search for grants and other potential funding options
  • Establish a YouTube channel and create weekly YouTube videos highlighting THE content to help expand readership
  • Assist with social media advertising campaigns
  • Perform additional related activities as necessary

Basic Qualifications

  • Junior or senior majoring in business, communications, journalism, English, nutrition, anthropology, human biology, biochemistry, human physiology, or a related field
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Superior grammar skills
  • Fastidious and thorough
  • Minimum GPA 3.3

Additional “Preferred” Qualifications

  • Health and wellness research experience
  • Demonstrates a passion for and is familiar with functional and alternative medicine
  • Is an independent thinker who works well on his/her own
  • Stays abreast of current news and events as well as changes in the health field
