Political Consulting Fellow
Great Society Strategies, a Democratic direct voter contact firm, is seeking a Political Consulting Fellow for a paid, part-time, remote position (approximately 20 hours per week, $1,650 per month), with occasional in-person field work required during active canvass projects.
About the Role
This is an operational fellowship. You’ll work directly on the programs that move votes — managing field and phone canvass operations, maintaining voter files, recruiting and coordinating canvassers, and running quality control on contact data. You’ll also support client reporting and conduct campaign research.
No two weeks look the same. Active canvass periods mean longer hours and occasional travel; quieter stretches are for data work and research. You need to be comfortable with both.
What you’ll do
– Assist in managing field and phone canvass programs end to end- Maintain and update voter file data; flag and resolve data quality issues- Recruit, onboard, and coordinate canvassers- Run quality control on contact records and program outputs- Prepare client-facing reports on program progress and results- Conduct opposition, candidate, and issue research as needed- Travel occasionally for in-person field work during active canvass projects
About you
– Strong work ethic and genuine follow-through — this is operational, not theoretical- Sound judgment; you handle sensitive political data and client relationships- Flexible schedule; can shift priorities when a canvass goes live- Comfortable working independently in a remote environment- Prior political experience is not required; curiosity and reliability matter more
